Why Eden Hazard was right to join Chelsea

He took to his Twitter account upon announcing his decision, telling the follower: "I'm signing for the Champions League winner."
Despite a season of disappointments and managerial upheaval, Hazard should be happy about his decision to join Chelsea.
The reason Hazard chose Chelsea was down to first team opportunities.
He told Chlfc: "There was a struggle between Chelsea and United but, for me, Chelsea has the best project.
"The team is young and I have a better chance to play there.
"At 21, Real [Madrid] or Barcelona would have been more difficult for me. If I play well enough at Chelsea, I could win my place in the starting team.
"When they won the Champions League, I told myself: 'Why not Chelsea?'"
A PFA Team of the Year member, Hazard quickly took the Premier League by storm. Questions were asked whether - standing at 170cm tall - the physicality of the Premier League would be too much for Hazard.
However, the Belgium international's contribution to the Chelsea attack this season has been priceless. With 14 goals and 18 assists in all competitions this season, Hazard has been an invaluable asset to the London club's attack - and he will only improve, as will the squad.
This current Chelsea squad is on the verge of undoubted success. With Juan Mata, Hazard and Oscar they have arguably the most creative attacking trio in world football.
Ramires and David Luiz sit behind the three. Whilst the latter has the Brazilian flair capable of breaking teams down, the former has the lung-busting tenacity more expected of a German. Branislav Ivanovic and Gary Cahill have slowly ushered John Terry out of the first team, whilst Ryan Bertrand is expected to do the same to Ashley Cole. And although it took some time, Cesar Azpilicueta has grabbed the right-back position with both hands.
To finish this off, Atletico Madrid star Radamel Falcao is reportedly on his way to the club.
A sense of stability and consistency is all that is needed at Chelsea. This summer, owner Roman Abramovich must decide on a manager capable of getting the best out of his young crop of stars.
Jose Mourinho has been linked with a return to the club - and would undoubtedly re-assert Chelsea Football Club on the world map as a major threat.
Backed by the riches of Abramovich, Chelsea will always be a competitive club, capable of luring the world's brightest talent to the club - something that, rightfully so, Hazard could not turn down.
