Rafa Benitez: “Give me some respect”

Chelsea interim boss Rafa Benitez insisted that he should get respect from the fan for what he had done to Chelsea this season after his team’s blistering second half revival propelled them to the final of Europa League.  Three goals in nine minutes in the second half hauled Chelsea from behind to 3-1 victory with an aggregate of 5-2 victory over FC Basel to secure a meeting with Benfica at the Amsterdam Arena on 15 may. The final of Europa League on 15th may against Benfica will be the 10th major final of Abramovich Era and a fantastic opportunity to claim 11th major trophy in a decade since he bought.
The home support choroused Roberto Di Matteo who was sacked by Roman Abramovich in November and bellowed Jose Mourinho name as “Mourinho coming home” during the match as benitez oversaw his victory as a remainder that he will never be accepted by those in the stands. Asked if he deserved the  respect of supporter, rafa said, “We’re doing job as professional. Since that talk at Middlesborough (When he had openly criticized the Chelsea fans) I think I have won 11 of 13 games at home, which is good at the present context. We are doing our job. Hopefully a lot of fans will appreciate that”.
