Andre Pirlo: “I backed out of Chelsea”

The former AC Milan defender admits that he had already agreed to join Chelsea in 2009 but was talked out by Rossoneri president. “I had already reached an agreement with Chelsea, then after Berlusconi intervened and I stayed at Milan”,he explained in his autobiography. “Pep Guardiola also suggested me to join Barcelona in 2011 but then also Berlusconi stepped in”. Pirlo eventually ended his ten years association in AC Milan and joined rivals Juventus in 2011. The 33 years old Itallian is thinking of backing into Seria- A in Turin outfit.
